London Hen Party Activities

Hen Party. These two simple words can make some grown women shudder and wince at the very thought! We know dressing up in some outfit and draping L plates around yourself is not everyone’s cup of tea, and so just for you here are 9 things to do during a sophisticated weekend in London.

And we promise, there’s not an L plate in sight!

London is a good option for brides who want to go somewhere different but that is quick and easy to get to. Of course it is jam packed with plenty to do, if you can tear yourselves away from the shops, that is!

1.Take in a Show

London Theatres

A visit to London wouldn’t be complete without taking in one of the brilliant West End Shows. There will always be a show to suit you, from Shrek The Musical, The Bodyguard or The Lion King to my personal favourite, Wicked, Stomp or Thriller Live. No matter your taste, there is something to please all members of your party. The London Theatre Guide website will list all upcoming shows.

2. Hire a Private Capsule on the London Eye

London Eye

Relax in your own capsule on the London Eye with up to 25 guests whilst sipping champagne and soaking up the views of London, which you are sure to see from the top – which is 135ms high.

3. Wine Tasting at Vinopolis

It’s literally a stone’s throw from the Tate Modern and offers a funky hen party package for brides and her maids to enjoy an afternoon or evening learning about (and tasting, of course!) delicious wines and a cocktail making session – sounds like pure bliss to me!

4. Afternoon Tea at Claridge’s Hotel

One of London’s most iconic five star hotels, Claridge’s, based in Mayfair, is the perfect location for a grown-up and ladylike afternoon tea.  Situated in the Foyer and Reading Room, everything is perfect from the glamour of the art deco interior to the live music and quintessentially English menu. It’s little wonder they have consecutively been given an Award of Excellence by the Tea Guild.

5. A Day at a Cowshed Spa

Their world-renowned spas are synonymous with English country-chic where you can relax and rejuvenate with a large range of treatments from facials, cellulite busting scrubs, and body massage to manicures and pedicures.

6. The Shard

The Shard London

The Shard is the tallest building in Western Europe standing a majestic 1,016 foot above London. The glass facade has transformed the skyline of London and inside the Shard you will find offices, world-renowned restaurants, the five star Shangri-La hotel and exclusive residential apartments, it really is like a vertical city! You can experience the amazing views from the capital’s highest viewing gallery.
