They are 6&2 sunshine. My 6year old will he delighted I'd say. She is a chatterbox, so unfortunately we can't tell her early.
My 2year old boy is finding it hard to share mama at the moment, even with his big sister!!

What is your plan?

Found a great bundle in sweet little babies in dundalk. Comes with chicco travel system, cot, bouncer, high chair, moses basket and a few other things for €999 and an even fancier one for 1,600.. just asked if the bundle is always on offer and will happily go pay off every month. Need to hold off now for a few more weeks haha.

I've no plan yet. I've been looking on YouTube of people telling their kids. The Americans are so creative.

Took pregnacare late tonight not feeling great. So going forward if I don't take it before 6.30 I'll hold out till the next day

Thanks girls. Doc went ok. She said a line is a line. She did say it was a bit weak, but then I didn't use morning urine but very diluted sample as I got into docs.
I am not worried, reading back on the train here 3years ago with ds it took until week 7 for the cheapie tests to get strong and he is a healthy 2.5years now. :)
Might spill it to my mum.now, I have already told 3close friends and my sister.

Has anyone else told?

Congrats Lean! Great to have it confirmed. Are you going to book an early scan or anything?

I have told a few people yeah, people who know what stage we were at with IVF were kinda fishing for news and I didn't want to lie and say it didn't work as felt that a bad omen. So my husband's parents know and his sisters and their OH's. 2 of my 3 sisters and their OH's know, but I have held off telling my dad and my other sister until 11 weeks. Both total balabber mouths. My dad would be telling his mates in the pub and my other sister would be tagging me in everything baby related on Facebook... she is a disaster.

In an ideal world, we wouldn't have told a lot of people until 12 weeks but we needed their support when going through IVF.

We haven't told anyone. Telling family after scan on 26th. Then will possibly tell one or two friends in time between then and 12 week scan or may wait. I can't wait to spill the beans tbh. Would tell my parents now no problem but it's my mams birthday at the end of the month so be nice to give her a surprise and maybe have a scan pic then. Can't bloody wait for the scan. Actually can't come quick enough

I wont have an earlyscan flipper. My gp had offered every time but I kinda do belong to the less scans the better brigade and his machine esp is ancient.

I am feeling really positive and enjoying this early time where only a select few know and I still have all the energy and not many symptoms.
I remember how exhausting the last few weeks were last time when I couldn't sleep (insomnia), constant heartburn, couldn't get up unaided (hip displacement and pelvic thing) etc.

Do for once I am enjoying these early days with my little secret.
Already dreaming of ways how to tell ohs family though.
It is so exciting when you spread news.

With our first we told NO ONE until.12week scan, but I def need the support of friends etc now to get me through early weeks.
Its kinda nice to share and they have told me when they found out aswel, so its only fair.

Gym, that will be a lovely birthday surprise for your mum. It will be so special. No wonder you are wishing the weeks away.

Doctor has my due date for May 16th, so I am just going to go with it. :)
That makes me officially 5weeks today. :)

Sorry for the long post. Ds is asleep on me and I can't stop typing!!

Yep Flipper she knows we have been trying and attending the fertility clinic. She's seen my tears and cried with me and for me too. I know she's been worried so I hope she'll be surprised. No doubt there will be tears again. Been looking at bits online. Saw cards and cute poems but id like something to wrap. Everything seems to be you're going to be grandparents but they already are so I dunno

Lean I'm def wishing the weeks away. Only 2 to go. Dying to see the little bean in there. You sound so excited and on a high after being at doc. Delighted for you. I floated out of my docs when I got it confirmed. Nice to be there for good reason too.

Had a bit of a cry earlier. A Facebook group I'm in often has pics of people's kids. One of the girls posted her baby and I was hit with the wave of jealousy and hurt I used to get when I was ttc. For that split second Id forgotten I'm pregnant and when it hit me I bawled. Just felt so grateful, lucky and appreciative. I will never take this for granted and I don't think I'll ever forget the cruelty of wanting a baby so bad and facing bfn month after month. Just couldn't stop the tears.

We are all really close together sarah, which is lovely.

Gym, the hormones are definitely raging in us. I cried and cried over one born last night.

We are blessed to our our babas growing now and fingers crossed we'll all be holding healthy little bundles in our hands in 8mths time.
