“Everything after that just fell into place for us, it was all very easy and relaxed – wedding planning is easy!”

Now that is a statement, but as you’ll soon see, when your fiancé is an accountant you have no choice but to be super organised – with a little help from family of course!

Today we’re delighted to share Eimear and Terry’s travel themed wedding at Tulfarris Hotel in Blessington. The ever fabulous Katie Kav Photography was on hand to capture all the specially created details.

Eimear and Terry met in early 2013 during a night out in Dublin.

“About a month after we met we went for a walk up Killiney Hill, sat up on the top of the hill and looked out at the beautiful view. The sun was shining and although neither of us said it at the time, we both knew that something special was happening between us,” explained bride, Eimear.

Atop another hill, this time Captain’s Hill in Mullingar, Terry popped the question.

“I had been for a swim in the lake and Eimear had gone for a run up Captain’s Hill. I surprised her with the proposal – I had the ring picked out and had been planning the proposal for months! We went to Carton House that night and then celebrated with family the next day,” said Terry.

“My brother and sister in law were recent newlyweds so we looked at their very extensive Excel spreadsheet to help start our own planning. Terry is an accountant so of course we had a budget and decided to spend the most of it on the food and venue,” added Eimear.

The couple chose a travel inspired theme for their Big Day as they have both traveled quite a bit, both separately and together.

“We didn’t want to go too overboard so had invitations that looked like boarding cards and the table plan was inspired by an airport arrivals board,” said Eimear.

Eimear wore a lace topped illusion neckline gown from The White Room in Mullingar which her mum actually chose! Her two best friends, Eimear Jane and Stacey wore vibrant blue maids dresses and accessorised their up styles with delicate diamante headpieces.

“The day went absolutely brilliantly. From start to finish we both had smiles on our faces. We loved every minute of it. When you take a moment to look around the room at all your nearest and dearest who have come together to celebrate your special day it is amazing and very special memories were made,” Eimear said.
