Bridal Make-up tips advice on how to look the best on your wedding day.
Deciding on what type of make-up you want for your wedding shouldn’t be a big decision. Most brides go for a natural look, or something similar to what they usually wear themselves.
Helpful Tips
- Remember to take the colour of your dress into account, as you want your make-up to compliment it, not clash with it.
- When choosing a make-up artist, ensure that you have a trial session before booking so that you are completely happy with how your make-up should look on the day.
- If you are going to wear fake tan on the day of the wedding, it is advisable that you have this done for your trial too, as the make-up artist will blend the foundation to your skin tone.
- Decide whether you want to go to a beauty salon, or have the make-up artist come to your home on the morning of the wedding.
- If you want to start a skin regime, make sure you discuss this with your make-up artist and leave plenty of time. Do not start having facials 2 weeks before the wedding and break out in spots with days to go!
- Don’t forget that the make-up artist will also be doing your bridesmaids’ make-up and possibly your mother’s too, so take this into account when arranging the time for the big day.
- The bride should always have her make-up done first. That way, neither the make-up artist nor the bride is stressed. You can always have it topped up just before you leave.
- Remember to have extra lipstick, lip gloss, powder and blusher on hand throughout the day to top up your make-up for the photo shoots.
