Dress Dilemma

Postby mojo » Fri Nov 18, 2011 8:22 pm

Hi Missies,

Just looking for a bit of advice. We are hoping to get married in April 2013. Initially we had thought it would be sooner so I started looking at dresses and now that I have started I thought why not get it done.

Problem is.....I have tried on about 20 different dress styles and there was honestly only one style that I thought was nice :dizzy :dizzy It is not that I am being picky, it was the only one. I have seen the same dress in a couple of places and when I put it on, straight away I think it's nice. My friend also did and the ladies in the shop. It is a nice dress but there's a couple of things I don't like about it.

If I thought I'd come across a few variations of the same style I wouldn't be concerned, it's just that after looking on loads of websites, there really isn't many at all......3 that I have seen in all.

Also the dress is in the 2011 collection. So I'm afraid that if I don't buy it, and I don't find anything else, I'll regret it :smash I have seen alot of the 2012 collections online and haven't seen anything similar in those either. And I can't wait for the 2013 collection!

So do I buy this dress in case I don't find anything else? Oh what to do.........Thanks missies

Thanks sdengaged....the main thing I don't like is a band about 6 inches wide......from the bust to the waist..........it's sewn into the dress....only way to take it out would be to get a new skirt on it. Think I need to go try it on again mmmm :) xxx

:iagree you have lots of time to keep looking and if your still not 100% then it probaly isnt 'The Dress'. There is also the option of getting it made which might be worth looking into so then you get exactly what you want? Have fun though trying on lots of dress, I'm raging I cant try on anymore!!

I would buy it if I absolutely ADORED it. Like tears of happiness kind of feelings. But your post doesnt sound over enthusiastic about it so maybe it's not 'the one''. I LOVED my dress when i put it on, couldnt take my eyes off myself, and my mum was crying she loved it so much so I knew it was the one. You will know.

Thank you all so much...you guys are so nice, and helpful to everyone. I emailed the designer and they said they have no plans to discontinue it so it takes a bit of the pressure off. On the upside, I tried it on again and I liked it more than originally and the bits that I didn't like I don't think will be noticeable when it's in my size. Its hard when they only have a 14 and you're a 6! Anyway more fun trying on dresses Thanks again missies :-) :-) :-) xxxx
