Spot Eruption with 7 Days to Go :(

Postby BlushingBride1980 » Fri May 27, 2011 3:51 pm

Missies

I have a drama! 7 days to my wedding and a huge zit, I'm talking monstrous, has erupted on my chin! I know I shouldn't have but I squeezed it and made it worse! Any remedies ye'd recommend for me?!

Would you believe toothpaste is suppose to be great at drying them up so you could give that a go. best wishes for the big day :-)

toothpaste. sounds odd i know, but it really work. dries it up straight away. Im lucky that i have clear skin, but when i get a spot it usually looks like ive grown another head! Smother it in toothpast and gone within an day or two.

and if not already, drink loads of water with lemon juice in it. The will help too.

7 days to go....EXCITING :-)

Toothpaste it is - I'd give anything ago now. I'll be walking around with it from now until Thursday evening! What a pain in the bum!

I suggest Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Cream and the face scrub. They are brilliant. I started getting spots for the first time a few years ago (I'm 27 now!) and I discovered these products when I was staying over in my friend's house. She always used them and I "borrowed" some for a while because I wasn't bothered getting my own. It was only when the H2B said to me "you've passed your puberty I notice" that I realised not only had the spots cleared but I hadn't had any recurring erruptions either!

Hi Blushing Bride1980

First thing first 7 days is loads of time, is it just one spot or are you getting a few each day. Morning primrose oil tablets will clear up skin, however with the wedding a week away number 1 is DO NOT PICK IT. Let it die, dont cover it with loads of product between now and then toothpaste does dry it as does sudocreme. I wouldnt use any scrubs at the moment unless the skin around has dried and is flaky.

With the wedding so close try not to use too many new products as you wont know how your skin will react. If you get anymore this week do not touch them they are much easier to cover if they have not been touched even though you will feel terrible for the week it will be worth it.

Don't worry, your makeup artist will be able to cover whatever blemishes you have and if you get really stressed give her / him a call and I am sure they can put your mind at rest. You would be amazed at the calls that come in to us the week before the wedding, so dont feel you can't give them a call.

Finally have a WONDERFUL DAY, I hope it's everything that you have dreamed of. :D

My beautician has recommended rose water on damp cotton wool. it takes the redness off-that and sudocream.
