we're going with grey pinstripe suits with tails, silver waistcoat and white full collared shirt, h2b waistcoat is slightly different to the rest and the cravats will either be red or silver...red matches the b/m's but the silver is lovely too

i was gonna go with black morning suit, the two dads and best man will have purple waistcoats and h2b will have silver. i want h2b to stand out and be different. saying this though i have only seen them in pics!

I'm getting fabric from the same website I bought the bm dresses. They gave it free as we had ordered 4 dresses and shoes from them. hoping it'll be enough to do all the groomsmen!! the suit place are making them for a small fee.

My h2b put his foot down and said he didn't want to hire suits - he would rather wear his own. So we're not hiring suits for any of the wedding party. This means they'll all be in slightly different suits of course, but I'm going to tie it all together by getting them to wear white shirts and ivory ties. And with matching buttonholes, and you'll hardly notice that the suits are different! It just means I have to buy 6 ivory ties (fob, groom, bm, ringbearer and 2 ushers)!

Heya my guys are wearing dark chocolate brown suits, with ivory shirts I'm not sure about the ties and waistcoats yet the bm's are wearing teal so it might be all too dark if they wear teal ties .... I'll update you when I figure it out. Opinions welcome : )

We had black normal suits no tails. Ivory waistcoat and brugundy tie for the bestman and groomsmen and cravat for the groom.

If you want to keep it formal, go with a black 3 button suit with a white shirt inside. Though some would prefer going 2 buttons or even as low as single button suits. It really depends on how you take the event. For the most formal look, the three button would only make sense.

As for the shirt, it would not matter if you wear a black shirt as long as you compliment it with the color of the suit and the tie.

I also suggest that you lose the cufflinks, as long as you want to stay current.

We went for a Berutti suit (h2b din't want a wedding suit) in charcoal grey. The goomsmen and dads are wearing a charcoal waistcoat and a pale grey tie with a standard shape jacket. Groom is really tall and thin so he's in a slim fit jacket and ivory waistcoat and ivory tie. We wanted him to stand out from the others. They all look great together!
