Ok My H2B is mad on having a grey suit bit like the one here, but my question is if anyone has any advice he wants the best man and grooms men in different suits to him. But would this look ridiculous??? him in grey and the others in a slighter shade darker? usually its the groom in black and the rest in grey would it look ridiculous the other way around???

sure if you could let me know what your ideas are?

H2b is going in a suit this colour
the groomsmen are going the same but I have seen it done the way your h2b wants it and even all in different colours (silver, navy, brown, black and cream then the girls matched the boys!)

Go for it after-all the bride is different to the bridesmaids

we thought we were going to put a grey suit on h2be and darker grey on the lads but we went to a great suit hire shop in swords and the man there was super with his tips and advice, he said to have them all in the same suits but just change the colour of the tie or cravat, and make it a subtle change, it looked the business and very classy , we chose charcoal grey for them all, silver waistcoat, h2be has a dark grey tie and the lads will wear a lighter silver tie, hope this helps, he said to put the lads in different suits wouldnt look great in the pics..

hi koko, ive a simular situation. my bm's are waring a lovely darkblue/navie colour which i love. but i think that beside black suits on tha gm's they will look terralbe so want the gm's in gray suits. Gm's dont care, will ware anything but h2b is digging his heals in. says gray looks terrable on him (i dont thing so!!) wants to ware the same as gm's and is refusing to go with gray!! so to comprimise I've sayed gm's in gray and h2b in charcole!! how do you think this would work?

ps, i think the gray in your pics are fab and really think it makes no difference who wares what shade ( as long as my h2b is in charcole and gm's are in gray) :(

Missies you all have been more than helpful thank you so much and I ran your ideas by the h2b and he loves the idea of them all having the same suit but maybe having a different colour tie. I told him i would get some advice on here

Ok heres what we do. H2B will be in grey. My one Bridesmaid will be in black.
Best man and all else involved, we wont have Groomsman as such, will just wear a dark suit that they all already own. I was fretting about the not matching as well, but got over it! My Florist came up with a great colour for our flowers, light pink/blush to tie everything together!
