I don't know if it's the norm or not - suppose it just comes down to budget and preference. My H2B tried on a palladium one and thought it felt a bit lighter than the platium ones. Don't think he'll be going for platinum, just too expensive and in fairness, neither of us can tell any real difference between them anyway.

Here's some useless facts I learned about palladium today from a jeweller and thought I'd share :D

Palladium is:

- a natural white metal

- hyper allergenic

- the same density as gold

- 16% stronger than platinum

Bet you always wanted to know that huh? :D

Got our rings last week! so delighted with them, H2B keeps laughing at me cos I keep wanting to try it on all the time! His one is 2 tone, girl in the jewellers recoomended sterling silver on outside as aparently white gold looses its colour with time and cos 2 toned wont be able to get it "dipped", the gold at the centre is brushed gold so not so shiney, really loveley and cant wait to see him wearing it!
