And so it begins......

Postby mrswtobe » Mon Jan 02, 2012 7:26 pm

This time last year I was about a stone lighter than I am now....Over the year I wasn't really watching my weight that much but I decided that I would have to wait to say the words 'this year' about getting married before I'd go on the wedding diet. I have 7 months and have to keep my new resolution to lose roughly a stone or two which I feel is like facing the bottom of Mount Everest looking up to the summit but I'm determined to lose it and keep it off. My biggest annoyance is that I am a size 10-12 but am heavy for my size and just want to feel great on the day.

So to everyone else starting their wedding weight loss. GOOD LUCK!!

Best of luck to you too mrswtobe. I'm starting tomorrow as i'm back to work then and my routine will return to normal. My brother is a PT in training and has offered to get me in shape for the wedding. I've a stone to lose and ideally would like to do so before I start trying on dresses. I tend to go up and down in weight but really want/need to get it under control.

I'm not back to work until the 9th too, but I'm better when I'm not in work. I'm a teacher too and when I get home at four I am like the hungry monster but when I'm home all day I'm fine. I will have to go to the gym instead of making my usual snack-attack! It's sooo hard in winter to get motivated I find but has to be done!

I need to lose roughly the same as you,but dont look at it in stones,if you aim to lose a pound a week it just seems like less of a struggle.

I'm the same, i'd like to lose about a stone or so, and am a 10 -12 as well (although prob more a 12 now tbh!). My dress is bought and fits, but is quite tight enough when sitting due to the shape of it!
My wedding is 18mths away exactly on friday, but i reckon the sooner i start the better! If i lost even half a pound a week i'd be happy!

Flashcg, only lose weight if it's really what you want to do not because someone else wants you to.
Especially your MIL!!! I'd be fuming. I don't need to lose much and I don't want to look sickly on the day but I want to lose it. If you're happy the way you are and are tiny as you say you don't need to lose weight. Everyone looks beautiful on their wedding day whether they're a size 10 or 20.
