it takes elements of yoga, pilates and ballet....its been around since the 1980s but was wondering if anyone remembers it!!!!

OMG!! I used to have a really old VHS tape of Callanetics! In fact, I had two. My mam bought me the same one in a second-hand shop as my other one had gotten worn out. It reminds me mostly of yogalates. All strecthes and small movements that know how to make you feel the burn without jumping around the place like a lunatic. I thought no one my age knew about it. Where do you teach it? That's the first thing I tried that ever went near to flattening out my stomach. "sit-ups are 80% back". The inner thigh exercise that uses a kitchen chair, that was good too. Callanetics, now there's a blast from the past Haven't done it in years. No since my VHS player broke.
