defined shoulders??!!

Postby harv2010 » Sun Mar 06, 2011 10:36 am

OK girlies, so I am happy with my weight as I am a bit of a gym bunny, got out of the habit of jogging/cycling etc over christmas but slowly easing myself back into it.
Thing is, I don't really want to loose much weight, maybe 4/5 pounds at most, I do however want to 'define' my look if ya get me??!! I have slim arms etc but I would like to define my shoulders a bit and my chest area. I do use resistance bands as I think theses are fab for elongating and toning your muscles without building bulk, however I don't want to have MASSIVE SHOULDERS :nope :nope as I don't have at the minute, I would just like to work on them a bit, does anyone have any tips as to how to make them more defined looking without building bulk and looking like HULK??!!

Shoulderpress would be good for defining and toining your shoulders and if you use light weights you wont put on any bulk. If your in the gym, as any of the personal trainers or fitness instructors and htey will show you the correct technique and as long as you keep the weights down you wont be building any bulk. Just keep in mind you will build a tiny bit as they muscles tone up.

Lateral raise is also another good exercise - again light weights. You could google the exercises and id say you could find them on youtube, but I would advise to check with a trainer to make sure you have the right technique as getting it right can be a bit tricky when your not sure!

Light weights I mean under 5kg!

Thanks a mil grogmg :highfive , to the bench press I go. Although I went wedding dress shopping on Saturday and 'the dress' is a sweetheart neckline with no straps and my arms looked grand, but I think I will work on defining my shoulders a little alright.....off to the gym for me........
