I have had a mole removed from my face last year and I have also had a skin biopsy from my face years ago. The skin biopsy sample was quite large, and I have a little dot, kind of like an acne scar I guess, left over after the stitches. The mole has left a very small faint line with a couple of dots around it, that you wouldn't notice unless I pointed it out to you. The skin biopsy left a larger mark, but that was just above my eyebrow and the mole was on my cheek near my mouth. The mark will be hardly noticeable and you won't even think see it after a while. And anyway, it is better to get the mole off than to worry about it being something sinister!

If your appointment is in September, the appointment for the mole removal is usually the next week, so you should have plenty of time to heal before the wedding!

This is going public. My aunt had a mole removed from her back a few weeks ago. We went in on a Thursday and they booked the removal for the following Friday, 8 days later. SHe was a public patient. It is only a mole removal, not brain surgery, as the HSE seems to think. They already make a bigger deal of it than it deserves. I had a mole removed in the UK at my GP surgery in 10 minutes! It will be done in plenty of time. I promise! :yeah

March to September?! Madness! Well, the time will go faster than you think, and you will be all healed up for the wedding. Good luck with it! :fingerscrossed
