Hurt my back

Postby MrsMcGovern » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:16 pm

 Bought a house a few months back and at some point hurt my back decorating. Have been putting off going to the doctor or physio coz I was hoping it would get better if I rested. So it turns out one of my discs in my lower back is bulging and a nerve is being pinched. My whole back has been siezing up and have been in serious pain from it.
So much for finishing off the houjse and then joining a gym to shape up for the wedding! I'm gutted. Now I'll be seeing the physio at least once a week and I'll ask him about exercise etc but just wondering do any of ye know of an exercise other than yoga that I can take up? I'm already looking for a yoga class but think I'll need something else too (but not sure what I'd ba able for, can't swim btw!).
Any advice is welcome. I'll be asking the physio but would love to do a bit of research before I go back to him!
Thanks
x

Oh my god you poor thing! I def won't be doing anything for a while or until my physio says its ok. He wouldn't even ask me to do the normal stretches they do to evaluate you. He had to help me stand up from the chair! Someone told me that vibroplates were good for strenghtening bad bacjs but those vibrations can't be good, can they?
