Motivational Weight Loss Clinic

Postby dazcaz » Wed May 04, 2011 4:28 pm

Girls i need your advice. I was doing really well with my weightloss. Had lost 6 pounds in March, but then had a crazy month in April (a funeral and made two redundancies) so took last week off and went away for a few days. I am now even heavier again. Im so so down about it. I usually dont notice it and am able to cover it up, but not now. I look huge in anything i put on. so Peed off. so now i have exactly 2 stone (possibly even more) to lose and have to order my dress in August / Sept at the latest. So, i have decided to go for a consultation with the new motivational weight loss clinic that has opened beside me. Anyone use these guys? ive heard really great things about them and i know a colleague of H2B lost 100 pounds with them.

Just afraid it will be pricey and will be all bars and shakes!

Any thoughts and advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you lovely Missies :-)

i have heard mixed reports about them, a colleague lost a lot of weight with them and found it good, i have heard others say it is a bit too strict and there is a lot of emphasis placed on buying the bars and shakes etc, i think the whole thing cost bout 700.
i started running 10 weeks ago and have lost 21 pounds in that time, and its free!

hi,
i posted bout this a few months ago. i joined paid 270 e for 5 wks...well i lost 8 pounds...overall i have been goin to gym 3 times a week and eatin healthy no boose..anyway i found them unreal pushy, you have to spend 30e per week on protein bars, eat 2 a day. weekly consult is 15mins- in and out..like a factory line. i have bought the same protein based bars on the net for a fraction of the price. i am apositive person and i found them to be very 'businessy' and to be honest it just didnt sit right from day one. there is no way you will keep this programme up- you have to adjust your eating habits, eat small ans every 2 hours, incllude a small piece of protein in each meal eg egg, salmon, chicken. i have met 2 others who went on it, lost a heap of weight, came off the bars and put it back on. it is not a sustainable diet. they are ordinary people and are not qualified dieticians either!

I tried motivation weight loss clinic about 18mths ago and soon realised it wasn't for me. Found it very strict, had to buy the bars and shakes and at €30 per week thought it was very pricey. Any weight I lost during the 20 wk course I soon put back on again. I do know people that have lost weight with motivation, but for me I found it didn't work.

Thank you all for your messages and PM's. I have made the decision not to go ahead with them. mainly because of the strictness and the cost (i would need to re-mortgage!)

After hearing from all of you and speaking with my OH colleauge, ive decided to just adopt a very low carb, high protein approach and see if that works

And if all else fails - There is Liposuction and Tummy Tucks !!!!!
