Think I peaked too early

Postby mrscdtobe » Sun Mar 27, 2011 2:15 pm

Im getting married in june so in Jan decided to start getting myself in gear, less chocolate and rubbish in general, stopped biting my nails, going to the gym etc. Everything going fine for a few months, happy enough with weight, arms coming along and nails perfect. Now in last week Ive completely gone off the rails again. Back to 2 bars of choc a day, had indian takeaway last night, full irish this morning and back to picking my nails. At this rate come June it will have all been a waste of time. My advice, dont start your good intentions until 2 months prior to wedding.

Don't fret Mrsctobe, Its very easy to fall off the wagon, I did too for the last couple of weeks, was v busy with work and other stuff so the healthy eating went to the wall. But getting back on track again.
What I have been doing is being v good Monday to Friday but then allowing a treat during the weekends, that way you have something to look forward and its easier to stick to your guns.
When I'm feeling lazy about going to gym or for a walk, I just think of my dress and its a great incentive.

dont worry - after all your hard work one week wont do too much harm, just ease yourself back into it and dont push yourself and punish yourself for this week, see it as a little holiday you gave yourself for all your hard work.
:hug3 plus you have 2 months left so the finish line as such is in view - that will give you loads of motivation!!!

aaawww know what you mean... I went through the same dilemma wondering when to start my fitness programme. In previous years I have only managed to last about 2 months on any healthy eating/fitness regime, so for my wedding I have decided to start April fully!! haha

You have just had a bad week, you'll get back on the wagon soon enough :)

I have heard more stories about this. For your regimen to be effective, you should plan and plot a good calendar. Do not be all out on one go, or you might run out of juice to back it up. My friend started her weight loss thing a year before the wedding and by the time it was 6 months left, she was already on her prime and she had nothing to do but to stack up again. Set your goals and follow them, you may be ahead on some days but at least you are right on track.
