Not big on exercise but need to lose some weight!

Unread postby AnCiotog » Wed Apr 04, 2012 1:21 pm

I used to be a junkie on the exercise because I used to run. Then I had a serious op last year and the exercise went right out the window. When I bought my dress it fitted me perfectly but I think I've put up a few pounds so I'm freaking! I love snacking in the evenings and that's not helping me, but I'm also on meds so the lack of exercise, snacks and the meds together are making me nervous!

This week I decided to reward my wedding fund at the end of every day - €1 for every day of not eating something bad (I broke it the first day! ) and €1 for every day of getting some exercise. I've gotten a walk in both days since I started yesterday and I'll be doing yoga tomorrow night. Any other tips, preferably on the healthy snack options!

I'm hoping to lose over 7lbs if I can, but I so need motivation!

hey there......right one or two things, should listen to my own advise but here it goes :)

have little packs of nuts, so i have about 10/20 hazel/almond nuts in little boxes, if i've more in the box i'll eat them, so measure stuff out...also like fruit mixed with yogurt in the evening, better than biscuits/bread late in the evening....dont let yourself get hungry, i find eating something small around 4 saves me in the afternoon, less likely to snack, usually have fruit or a few nuts..

Try putting up a picture of the dress on your fridge, and say to yourself "not tonight the dress wins tonight" anyway you know what i'm trying to say...i hope

best of luck, you'lll look amazing, be positive

Ok these are all ones for a sweet tooth, as that would be my downfall!
Apparently too if you have a sweet tooth if you have a piece of chocolate or something small and sweet like that around 11 in the morning, it'll stop you craving it later on in the day, and because you're eating it early, it's burned off better cos you're moving around the rest of the day! I'd have like a nature valley bar or something like that around that time in the morning, and it def helped kill my cravings in the evening! I've also taken to eating the yogurts with the corner piece of fruit in the evening, they're not bad at all calories wise but they're sweet as well! Another good dessert is a meringue nest with fruit cos it's very low in calories!

hey Mooseyd,

I started Pilates its not really exhausting exercise and can be taking really slow and losing weight or toning up can be noticed realy soon. And I always feel really great afterwards too... or what I do somethings is Zumba I go to classes sometims and also bought the PS3 game to do it at home...

Just some ideas for fun exercise :)

Also what is really good is pineapple there an enzyme in it the helps breakdown fat alot quicker then average and its healthy.. :)

Hope it all works out

:iagree Zumba is great, it doesn't feel like exercise at all! Loving your idea of the 1 euros, might steal that! I find it helps to join up with someone else to do yoga or zumba or whatever, the knowledge that a friend will know if you didn't turn up should give you a good push out the door!
first I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will Yes.

If u only need to loose 7lb i wouldnt advise doung a ww etc

I found pilates brilliant esp if u had an op.

My friend has bad knees and found it amazing for her. Zumba is an option and there is so many places running it.

I find greek yoghurt very filling with a bit of fruit! Pistachios are also great to fill u right up!

I hope this helps! X
In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.

I'm doing yoga at the minute, but it's finishing up on Thursday so then I'm planning to do yogalates in a new class, basically it's a mix of both so here's hoping it'll help the op area too. I'm rightly peeved because the soreness of the op's not gone yet so that throws the idea of killer wedding heels out the window! I've started walking 15 - 20 minutes during lunchtime and take a salad or something equally healthy to work. H2B bought us a cross trainer at Christmas so I did a few minutes on that tonight too. How to sort arms though!?
