weightloss-9 weeks to go-looking for a buddy

Postby livingabroad » Wed Jul 20, 2011 2:37 pm

Anyone else only have a while to go and lots of pounds to lose! I need some motivation! I've needed it for a while!! I desperately want to have another 15lb or so lost before the wedding but I struggle with motivation - have a personal trainer but its the eating thats the problem, not the exercise! If anyone fancies a gym/eating buddy for a few weeks to do weigh-ins and help each other out I'd love it!!!

snap i have ten weeks to go and a stone to lose, have already lost a stone and a half but motivation has gone really bad which is strange given how close i am to having to get into my fitted dress.
i am starting this thing on mon morn in simply fitness in milltown, it is a 4 week programme where you are guaranteed to lose 11lbs in that time. i went for a trial at 7am this morning and it is a total killer, its exercise based with diet plans as well, its my last shot, i want to look fab on my day and my dress is very very fitted.
by the way i think that 15lbs is very doable in 9 weeks.

Let me know how it goes, good to know other people are in the same boat!! im so good during day - go to gym before work, great at work.. but a disaster when i come home - tried weight watchers and stuff but find them so condescending that I can't go!!!!lol.

it is really hard, i just cant understand why i keep eating, its like self destruct or something. if u went to the gym after work wud u be less inclined to eat in the evening, are you weighing in in your gym, i find it a great incentive when i have somewhere to weigh in, it makes me be good. your prob toning up a lot with all those trips to the gym.

Mine is definitely self destruct- just had Indian takeaway! Aagh can't stop, was so good all day until now. Yeah I guess I'm toning but I need to stop eating! Don't have time to exercise in evenings but I bought a cross trainer that lives in back room, think I need to move it in front of tv! Let me know how u get on for next few days- I'm starting a new food diary tomorrow!

I find keeping a food diary the best way to stay on track. Like you livingabroad I am brutal in the evenings, I do on average 1-2hours exercise 5/6 days a week but can eat like a hound after it cuz my body is wrecked!!! Can't win!

fionaB - are you eating enough protein? cause with that much exercise if you are starving or not losing weight then its likely you need more protein!! See I know all sorts of things about nutrition I just dont practise them!!lol

Going to try be so good this week - My mom is flying over to see me and take dress for fitting next friday - and she really did not like the way the dress looked when I collected it so I reckon if I can get rid of 3lb before next fri it will help!!! fingers crossed (I'm on antibiotics and steroids this week so I can't exercise, so i must concentrate on eating properly!)

Anyone else have an aim for this week?

Hi girls with only 9 weeks to go as well i need motivation too.since last august Ive lost just over ona and a half stone.I want to lose another half stone but i seem to have lost my mojo!!!!!! It now i need to find it! Why do we always fall off the band wagon at these crucial times? We will all help each other and see how we go.WE CAN DO IT :)

Eh my motivation came back with a vengence yesterday - BM is doing cabbage soup diet and I have no intention of it so i better do something else quickly!!! sitting here with a mix of weight watchers and carol volderman's books figuring out what I can eat this week! No weight loss since I posted this in a panic 3 weeks ago lol! So far today however I have behaved but its only 8.15!!! Someone inspire me with a story about how well you are doing....
