What's your excersise regime, need inspiration..

Postby Beanie2010 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 8:54 pm

Hey Missies,

I really need some inspiration what are you doing to get fit and loose weight?
I am finding it really hard to stop eating crap and drinking :happyfriday, then I get dread about my wedding dress and am good for about an hour, before eating more crap :(

I don't have a huge amount to loose but would love a stone off, so I would feel good about myself in my dress and bikini on honeymoon!

Hi Beanie, I run a few times a week, if im feeling very energetic and have the time I will do a long run, if im a bit tired or my body isnt feeling up for it, il do a shorter run and maybe do a bit more walking rather than running.

You could try walking and putting in a few very short runs like picking a point in the distance and say you are going to run to it and then walk to another point. Best way to start running. For the winter I have 2 Gillian Michaels DVD's (biggest loser trainer) and they are brilliant and you really feel it after even 1 session.

I have fallen off the wagon a bit in the past 10days/2weeks but im not beating myself up about it, just plan on getting back into action tomorrow. I find taking my measurements is better than relying just on weight although my weight mighnt change much or anything at all, I may have lost an inch or two.

Hi Beanie

I do a bootcamp twice a week and then swim 2 or 3 times a week, along with some brisk walks with the dog! I've lost 11.5kgs since Christmas, slow but that's because of my diet. I enjoy the exercise, especially with the nice weather, but my addiction to sugar is my down point.

I do eat waaayy better than I used to, but not good enough to get rid of my pot belly (hate my belly!!!). So my advice to you would be to sort the diet out, cut one thing out at a time instead of waking up one morning and giving up everything! Ive tried that before and never lasted more than a week!!! Totally agree with grogmg re the measurements!

Best of luck with it all, and keep us updated on your progress!!

I hear ye fionab1385, eating well is soooooooo hard. Well done on all that exercise, I'd say the weight classes are very effective. I always notice a weight loss after we do kettle bells in bootcamp! 3-4lbs left thats fab!!

yeah they are starting Kettlebells and TRX in our gym in September so can't wait for that. My diet is generally good but my problem is that by the time I get home from the gym it's nearly 8pm so i go for toast or cereal instead of making myself a proper dinner so i end up eating pure carbs before bedtime which is bad news!!

Valium and Champagne - its a winning combination!! HA!!! I'll be doing the exact same girls!!
I've a long way to go yet but all I'm doing at the moment is swimming 3 times a week as I pulled my bloody hamstring :banghead - I'm so annoyed at myself!
But before that I was starting to run on threadmill - running 2 mins - walking 3 mins til the 25 mins were up and then I was doing the rowing or the bike for another 25 mins.
I need to loose the weight and then I'll tone.
