WW propoints....

Postby mrsw2be » Thu Dec 08, 2011 2:04 am

Hey :happywave

Soooo long since I've been on, just spent half the nite reading through all the posts I've missed!! :crazynut

I started WW bout 7 weeks ago & so far I've lost 8.5lbs :bounce Delighted with myself :D It's probably not a huge weight loss but to be honest I only have about a stone in total to lose so I'm well on the way :D Just can't believe that I spent years trying every diet/detox etc that was going & never ever managed to lose anything significant..I haven't even been overly strict but have still managed to only gain weight one week & even then it was only 1/2lb...

How is anyone else who is doin WW getting on?

Not back on ww but considering going back after christmas! I went before and lost about 2 stone, but have put some back on, would like to lose a half a stone to a stone, like yourself!
Is the pro points system very different from the old systems?
I did the core plan before, which had a lot of basic foods points free, just had to manage portion size, and then you got 21 points a week for treats etc. I liked that one, but wasn't ever too sure about counting points on everything!

Well done on losing the 8.5pounds! I think that's very good weight loss indeed! :cool

Aww thanks girls :hug3

@awhiletogo...I never did the old system so can't really compare them but with propoints you get 29 points per day as ur allowance & then 49 extra points to use throughout the week...u can also earn extra points to use by exercising...Almost all fruit&veg is 0points too :) I just find it quite manageable once you get used to how many points are in what & what I really like is I never ever feel like i'm starving myself...me & food are great friends so that just wouldn't suit one bit!! :D

@Caroline_A2...my friend started doing it b4 me & I figured i'd try to do it myself at home but to be honest it didn't work at all,I just wasn't motivated enough but when i joined things changed i dunno if it's that u feel like you have to be good cos ur going to get weighed each week :yikes2 the week I put on 1/2lb the lady weighing me had a look of complete horror in her eyes when i told her it must have been the chocolate that done it!!!!! :D She was like :nobadtalk!! Never wanted to see that look again & when I went back the following week i'd lost 2.5lbs!! :clapper

@futuremrsB....Aww best of luck hun, do you have much to lose? I'm super excited cos this is the first time in years I've been close to the weight i was when i was 19, i'm 29 now!! ;)

wow thats brilliant!! im just over 11 stone so ideally id like to loose about a stone and a half, i used to be a dancer so i was always quite slim, i stopped dancing and im gone a little wobbly now n im a size 12 but im just not happy with how i look or feel so im gonna take action and fix it :) i tried doing it at home myself and it worked a little but i think the meetings might help me to stay motivated

I was 10s4lb when i started & even though it's nowhere near huge for my height(5ft4") i just didn't feel comfortable with myself..I'm now 9st9.5lbs & will be the first to admit it really does work :D I really should be doing more exercise & drinking more water but even without that, just simply by tracking everything i eat I'm losing weight :bounce The meetings def help & once you start you'll be surprised how quickly you'll get used to writing down what u eat & stuff..I'm aiming to lose the stone then that's it, don't wanna be super skinny cos I lik my curves....just not all of them that i have now!!!

Ha, ha Mrsw2be, i'm 5'4" as well, and if i can get down to 10 stone 4 in the first place i'll be delighted! So you're doing brilliant! That pro points one sounds similar-ish to the core plan one, fruit and veg was all free on that too, and you had the extra points for treats etc so that sounds ok! Looks like i will be back after christmas so!! I tried it at home too, but you're right, the fact you've to get weighed every week def spurs you on!
Future mrs b, i'm the same as you, just over the eleven stone and a size 12, and 14 in the odd thing, i'd be happy enough to just be a 10 -12.

awhiletogo I sound like a walking advertisement but just can't rate it enough :bounce I didn't necessarily feel like i had to lose weight, for me it was really to help me start eating healthily again-i work shifts so it's soooo hard :crazynut but ya know what i feel so much better bout myself now :) still got alot of toning up to do but to be honest I'm actually not dreading wearing a bikini on honeymoon now :clapper

oh god yeah, if i'd to work shift i'd be a disaster! So that's extra well done! and as well as ww as a incentive, nothing focusses the mind like the thought of a bikini... ;)
