Having a very small wedding any advice

Postby leann » Sun May 22, 2011 8:08 pm

Hi Girls,

Me and my partner are getting married next year but we havnt a clue where to get married. It will be just us, our 2 small children and mabey 6 other people. I really want a special day I dont want to be bored and there is no point in having a reception with 8 people. Has anyone got married with such a small guest list and where ? Any advice you can give would be great.

Thanks

Leann

Wow.....compared to yours, my wedding seems huge! :) We're having a small family wedding with around 65 close family and friends.

Congratulations!

Hi Leann!
We are getting married in July and having 25 people in total. Found it really hard to find somewhere nice, most hotels wanted to stick us in a tiny room overlooking a carpark, nothing special at all. What part of the country are you in?

I'm from Kilkenny and getting married there. We considered going abroad too, but finally decided on having it here. We wanted it to be nice, even if its small. We're going with Lyrath in Kilkenny, and after looking at so many places, we are really happy with it. There is also Gouganbarra in Cork, which is fab. It's a tiny little church, on a lake, it's beautiful.
