Hello- so much to do!

Postby finnoodles » Sat Aug 13, 2011 11:39 am

Hi folks,

We got engaged 8 months ago on the way through Asia over to Australia. We got jobs here and have settled in Aus for the next few years. With alot of uncertainties out of the way we've decided to get married at home Friday 20 July next year. That's it- that's all we've done! No flights, venue, food, dress- nothing!

We're not getting married in a church and we'd like to do it in a private setting with a Marquee.

So now I need to get busy and arrange everything from here with the help of my mum, sis and best mate. Any tips on arranging a wedding from abroad would be most welcome.

Definately the internet is great :mrs2benut and at least you have people over here you can send to check places out if you want a second opinion. Would you think about using a wedding planner at all? I suppose it depends on whether you want less hassle but more cost and how big you think the wedding will be. Best of luck anyways with all the planning and you will find some fantastic ideas on this site alone

:iagree The internet is about to become your best friend. I'm organising mine from England and spend a lot of time on this site picking up tips and learning where to find things. These forums are great. The girls here are just brilliant at helping. Happy wedding planning! :)
