Hi missies!!
We are looking for info if anyone has it on getting bridesmaid dresses from the states?? My bridesmaids and I have found what appears to be a fab dress from Jessica's Fashions in LA. Anyone heard of this? Or if not, has anyone gone down the road of internet purchases for bridesmaids dresses??!! Still in two minds, dont wanna buy junk either of something I cant physically see . So HELP!! Anyone had experiences of this????????????????????????????????????????????

I haven't done it yet but I def will be, I saw BM dresses in a bridal shop, they are charging 240 per dress, I can get the exact same dress from netbride.com for 95 euro, well prob 130 by time postage and charges are added but still saving 100 per dress.

Have your BM's tried them on - if I were you I'd find the dress in Ireland first and get BM to try them on because what I was looking at online was not nice at all when tried on.

I am getting my wedding dress from Netbride too. They are really good to deal with and have an incredible reputation. The difference is they are not replica dresses, they are original's that they buy directly from the designer. Have not gone BM shopping yet, but have gotten quotes from netbride on dresses that i have seen and liked. The only thing i would say is before you order, make sure you get mesaured by a proper dressmaker. My friend didn't and the dress came way too small. With a dress maker that take in all sorts of considerations that you wouldn't think of ( type of under wear you will wear etc..)

I ordered my BM dresses from the USA on Bestbridalprices.com. They only stock original dresses straight from the designers too. I got the dresses there last week. We also didn't get a dressmaker to measure the girls, and the dresses are too big for them. That is easily rectified in the alterations though! I say go for it. The After Six dresses were €220 here, and I paid €110 for the exact same ones in the USA. That is not a bad saving!

Still cant get that dress that initially looked at out of my head... thats the only thing... its not from a well known designer... Hmmmm, probably safer to go with a more well known designer me thinks

Well, if you do want the original dress, and you are sure you can get it from a reputable seller, go for it! A good way to check if the website is reputable, is to check whether or not they are a real life bricks and mortar store in the US. That way, you know they are not trying to pull the wool over your eyes!

On the topic of bestbridalprices, I found them as I had found the perfect BM dress on dessy.com and then I had to find an authorised seller, as you cant order directly from them. Have a look on dessy.com, and if you see anything you like, you can order it in like a million different colours! Good luck with it, and if you have any other questions, PM me!

I personally dont have experience with them, but I do know of other people who have and the general response has been positive. I think the main thing to watch is the sizing/measurments as this can vary greatly, and so prob advisable to have a prof seamstress do this for you. Hope this helps and best of luck with the plans

My FSIL got her 3 BM dresses from Lightinthebox.com and they were fab! I would suggest getting measured by a dressmaker first though, as some fabric won't respond well to alterations.
