Definitely not too early, once you've decided on date book the church and venue you want asap to avoid dissapointment. Do you have hotels in mind?

Hi ya Welcome to the site, and most importantly Congrats on the engagement!!!!!! Up to you really on when you want to book things!! Normally i think you book the venue, photographer & band 1st around the 12 month mark from the wedding!!! We're getting married next Sept and ive booked all the above well before the 12month mark, just was really excited and wanted to get things booked!!! On this site there a planning thing up the top of this page and it gives you a countdown to your wedding, so you could if you wanted follow that!!! Best of luck with the planning & congrats again!!!

Hey and welcome to the site. I wouldn't say your too early. We booked church and hotel last september so it was about 20 months before as not getting married til next June. Theres a lot of people waiting two years befor they get married so they have time to save etc so I'd say as soon as you have a defnate date start looking around.

Hi :happywave
Welcome and congrats, this is a very exciting time!
Im 2 and a half years away and i have church, venue, band, photographer and videographer. Its new years eve so that is why i am getting all that sorted so early but any photopgrapher etc that we spoke to said that they already have had plenty of enquiries for 2013 and some even had bookings for 2014 so its never to early to start booking all the big stuff!

looked at the heights but thats all so far. missed the brehon showcase last sunday, i dont really know many hotels down there. I dont want to be in the town but not a million miles outside of it either. All of my friends seem to head to Limerick or west cork for their weddings so im not getting much feedback from them!
