Hi everyone! Just got engaged last week after almost 7 years together so thrilled and excited!! Have no idea where to start so hoping to get all the help i can get off this website and hopefully share in the fun and excitement with others!! I'd love to get married either in a nice setting in wicklow/kildare or rent out somewhere you can stay for a week/weekend and make a proper holiday of it for guests and family. Like a house with a marquee. ANY ideas/suggestions at all would be soooo much appreciated!!! Cheers xxx

Still mulling over the options. My h2b is from Bray, and I absolutely love Wicklow, so it's looking more and more likely we'll book somewhere there. If we go and check Summerhill out soon, I'll let you know how it goes.

Did you check out Rathsallagh House? It's just outside Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow. Very pretty. Didn't go with there ourselves coz of numbers. Went with Mount Wolseley.

We thought it was quite good value because of the package we got. A good few bits and pieces included in it. Also our wedding is classed as a winter wedding (even though its in the spring) the price was more 'favourable'.

I think the sit back and enjoy is a great piece of advice! Although I wouldn't stress too much over things myself - once I had him tied to a radiator the night before so I knew he'd turn up, I'd be grand!
