Hey ladies!
Have just stumbled accross this fab site, delighted with myself!
I got engaged mid July and today have decided to start planning (It took that long for the shock of the proposal to set in!). Thinking of Lanzarote in October 2012. Any one have any experience of weddings out there? It seems there are some good planners that could arrange it all. Is there anything major to consider before booking a wedding abroad?

welcome. cant help ya on weddings abroad but there are lovely girls on this site thatl give ya lots of helpful tips and advice. best of luck with the planning and congrats on the engagement xxxxx

aw congrates katef, you are very welcome to the site, lanzerote is a perfect place to organise a wedding and alot of missies are planning it to. try the section for weddings abroad and you should find loaaaadsss of info there.

Congratulations on your engagement!! We're getting married in Lanzarote Sept. 2012 and are using Lanzarote Weddings, I just emailed all the planners and took into account how quickly they replied adn how well I clicked with people when we chatted on the phone. They are 4 wedding planners as far as know, Weddings in Lanzarote, Rocks and Roses, Lanzarote Weddings and WeddingsToEnvy.
We just got our date confirmed and waiting on our assigned church and time of ceremony. The way Lanzarote works is you dont get to pick your church it get assigned to you depending on the date you choose and where your reception is.
Best of luck planning and make sure to read through the Weddings Abroad forum, it has loads of brill tips and there are a few wedding reports from Lanzarote too!
