So September this year? Are you planning a church wedding or register?

I made a wish and you came true, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you! X x x

As the missies said hotel and church first then once you have your date you'll start with your suppliers (chaircovers, band, dj, car, photographer) then the thousand and one other things

My Love, My Life, My Husband.
On this day I became yours and you became mine. Forever and ever x

Re: Newbie where to start :O
You need to decide on a date and then choose a venue and church that are both available, you need to know tour date and venues before you can do any paperwork!
There are a few things (paperwork) you need to get sorted if you want a church wedding, you will need to get cracking on these ASAP as without them you can't get married in a church;
You need to sign a pre nup, before you can do this you need to attend a pre marriage course and get a certificate, present up to date (within 6 months) baptism and confirmation certificates, letters of freedom from each parish you have been apart of from the age of 16, to prove neither of you have been married before. You then need to register your intent to marry, with the state minimum of 3 months b4 the wedding (ring now as you will need to book an appointment, they will tell you what you need.
If you don't complete the paperwork you can't get married, so if you're hoping to get married this September you will need to get cracking with this ASAP, visit your local priest he'll tell you everything!
Also if you don't have a dress you really need to be looking and deciding now as some shops can take as many as 6months for the dresses to come in (unless you buy off the rails) and that doesn't include time for alterations! Bridesmaid dresses can take up to 3 months so that's something else to consider.
So basically you need to;
1. Decide on a date, book a church and venue that are both available.
2. Book your priest, have a meeting with him ASAP in relation to paper work and get the ball rolling, gather you documents and complete a pre-marriage course. Make an appointment to register your intent to marry with the state.
3. Find your dress
4. Book a photographer, videographer and Band ( you will only need to pay the deposits on these).
5. Look for your bridesmaid dresses and decide on your colour scheme.
6. Book your church music and transport (if required)
I think those are the most important things, you have a lot to do in the next few months so I guess the sooner you get started the better.
Sorry I no that's alot of info but it's the important stuff!
Yes I'm getting married in a church too, I never realised how much weddings cost until I started planning my own :-/ ours is estimated to be around €35000 and that doesn't include the honeymoon
Hope this has been of some help to you, happy planning

I made a wish and you came true, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you! X x x

We've estimated about 35k as well for wedding but that includes our honeymoon - well I hope it does, can't get over the cost of things.
Are you having a big wedding, our numbers are huge
Gina2011, to answer your question about if H2B is any help and that would be a big fat no! TBH that suits me fine though cause I love all the organising - make sure you price around there are def some good deals out there is you look for them
