It's flying already! Have the venue booked and we have decided on a civil ceremony so just all the other bits to do. Its all a bit confusing!!
But cant wait for all the dress shopping!!
The date is 13th Oct!

Ah the planning can be head wreck all right. I found doing up a checklist worked a treat so I don't forget anything. As for dress shopping even if you have an idea in your head what you want try everything on and I mean everything. If you don't like strapless still try them on as straps can be added and you might miss the dress of your dreams if don't try everything. Anything that you want added to a dress can be added or taken away within reason. I had lace in my head and although some of them suited me I wasn't blown away and eventually got so sick of trying on lace that I picked up a dress that was extremely different and just looked like a fun dress. I never thought for a second that I'd end up in a dress like it but as soon as I put it on I new it was thee dress!

Enjoy it all because it will fly by!!!!!!!

Dont let the planning stress you out!! i was the most laid back bride to be and everything went perfect on the day and i loved every minute from the first day i started planning to the day of the wedding!! am so jealous would love to be doin it all over again!! It will fly by so enjoy every minute of the planning and im sure you'll get all the advice you could possibly need on here!!

Welcome! You have about the same time that I had to plan my wedding after getting engaged. Plenty of time to sort everything out,but not too long so that you will go insane! Enjoy it! (batman is underused as a smilie on this forum, I am letting him out for a break).

Thats great advice about the dress coz I do have lace in mind also but I should try different shapes and styles.
I bought myself a wedding planner book so I know what I should be doing month my month its brilliant!
You girls are really getting close now it must be exciting!
I figured with leaving a year to organise I'll enjoy it and not have to stress too much!
Extra bonus getting loads of great ideas and tips from this!!
