Hi Ladies!

I'm very recently engaged and so in the throes of trying to decide on a venue, we have done a rough count and it will be close to 300 people and we won't be able to cut many from that

I was just looking for advice/recommendations on venues that can cater for that many in particular in the Kerry or Galway areas. Kerry seems better able to handle larger weddings, can't find too many in Galway at all!

Any help would be very much appreciated thanks!

This may be of no help but the Falls Lodge in Ennistymon holds a large crowd if you would be willing to travel that far, I was at a wedding there last summer that had 290 people and it didn't feel too packed. HTH

Hi there's alot of hotels in Killarney that can have big numbers, I'd recommend The Malton, The Oaks in Killarney & I think Ballygarry in Tralee can cater for large numbers aswell. Hope this helps a little bit.

The Ballyroe Hotel in Tralee can sit 400 people, my friends wedding was there she had about 300 sitting the day of her wedding and it was perfect, plenty of room, great food and service. Also I was at a wedding in the Malton in Killarney late last year, I was party of the bridal party and all I can say is wow, Emer is the manager there and she was so nice, again food and service was top notch. The Dromhall in Killarney can seat 300 people, it was one of the hotels in the running for me.

Thanks everyone, haven't really browsed around more as am in New York to get a ring

Would be very interested in the Skelig in Dingle too, love the town and was at a wedding there last yr which was brilliant, more hunting to do!
