Booked Hen in Enniscrone

Postby MrsTK2B » Wed Dec 21, 2011 4:29 pm

:clapper

My BM has just sent out an email inviting everyone to my hen weekend. We are going to Enniscrone in Co. Sligo and can't wait. Its working out €35 each for 2 nights accomodation, we are getting 2 self catering houses beside each other. She has also booked the seaweed baths (€20) and dinner for 1 night. Hoping its going to be a really relaxed weekend and not cost people too much. Planning to bring lots of food and drink with us and stay in on the Friday night to cut costs. :cookingtime :knockback

For anyone trying to keep costs down for a hen weekend self catering is worth considering.

Enniscrone is fabulous!! I went surfing there last year for my birthday-I'm not the energetic but I have to say the surfing was hilarious. Even the people that wouldnt be into it had a shot and I swear the laugh we had for 2hours. Its not everyones cup of tea but it may be an idea.........we went surfing and then chilled out in the seaweed baths after. heaven :chillpill

Thanks Nuttynetta. Great to hear more good things about Enniscrone. I tried surfing once years ago and didn't really like it. But maybe some of the girls will want to give it a go. I think I'll leave them organise it themselves though, don't want BM to have the extra hassel and then people chicken out at the last minute. Its going to be in March so will be cold. A walk on the beach before the seaweed baths is about as energetic as I will be getting!

I just hope people don't mind being at a hen on St Patricks day.

Thanks Mrs20122be. My BM has booked dinner in the Pilot on the Saturday, the menu looks good and we have heard good things. We'll head out on the Saturday night but definitely no night club. Night clubs are my idea of hell on earth!! We may bring a load of wine and food with us and stay in on the Friday to save money, much cheaper to stock up in Asda that go out 2 nights. I'm expecting to be unemployed by then and everyone else is on a budget too.
