Budoir Shoot

Postby Angel_D_08 » Thu Feb 24, 2011 3:31 pm

Missies, as some of ye know, I went and got the budoir shoot done as a little present for my H2B, just got the pic emailed through and they are amazing. I've had to email them to my best friend and my BM to help me pick 12 out of the 27 the photographer sent me! choices choices :clapper :clapper

Hey Angel,

Well done you :clapper. Would love to get this done for h2b but not sure I would have the nerve. Can't even get changed in front of my mother. We're you nervous before hand?

I wasn't that nervous, I brought my BM with me and while the make up artist was workin on me we were all chatting so I was really at ease by the time the shoot started. My photographer was female so that took the edge off it really.

It cost just under €280, that was for the makeup, hair, and 2 hours photoshoot and a 10 or 12 page album.

I dunno if I'd have the nerve either  My brother is my photographer and he does them but going to him would be wrong on so many levels  Can you imagine!!! €280 was excellent for those, when are you going to show h2b?

Hi Ladies,

Just want to put a few of you at ease with regard to the Boudoir shoots. They are very popular and I have done the makeup for them in the past and getting more and more requests from photographers. However I have outlined a bit of advice below.

1. Firstly you have to be absolutely comfortable with the photographer so always ring and have a chat first, anyone worth their weight will take the time to talk you through the set up.

2. You are the boss. You only go as far as you want, however in my experience professional photographers go by this rule anyway, so a proper professional will know by you. Ask will there be a female present at the shoot (if of course the photographer is male) and if you want a friend present make it clear beforehand.

3. Ask about props you want or clothes or the style of the shoot, do you need to bring anything.

4. If it's a certain look, (I have done this for 1940's style pin up hair and makeup) then you might also want to give the photographers makeup artist and hair a call ie if you have short hair extensions may be needed or certain lashes. Don't go mad on the dutch courage beforehand..alcohol can make the skin flare up and the eyes glassey.

5. Enjoy...you only live once. I remember that sunscreen song where he says when we get older we will all look back on the bodies we have today and think we looked fabulous so go on go for it :happywave
