Cheaper to book as a 'Group' and not a 'Hen'

Postby DubBride2012 » Tue Jan 24, 2012 10:20 am

Morning ladies

I am a tad worried about my hen (probably for no reason!). My bridesmaids were getting quotes from hotels all weekend, and for one hotel in particular they called to get a quote twice.
The first time they said it was for a hen and were quoted X amount pp, and the second time they said it was for a group and were quoted €20 cheaper pp for the exact same package.
They went ahead and booked it and I am delighted, but a part of me is a little worried that if we check into the hotel in pink hats and L plates that the hotel may be a little upset??

What do you think? I would be afraid they would try to charge us more, or just provide a rotten service!
Am I worrying for nothing :( ???

HI Don't worry about it. It is more than likely that when your bridesmaids rang first and just said a hen the hotel would just give the price per room but then when you ring to say a group they prob got a group discount. If the hotel say anything when you get there just say they never asked when you booked was it a hen. So don't worry and enjoy yourself

Thanks SligoBride! I worry over nothing sometimes. That's a good plan though, I will say I was never asked. Thanks for the reassurance, that's what I love about mrs2be!
