girlies i really need help.
im trying to plan my best friends hen for november but im totally stuck.
first of all she is having 2 bridesmaids me and her 16 yr old niece who lives in england and wont even be at hen. so its all down to me
my dilemma is she has sooooo many requests and i kinda have to plan it all by myself.

First of all she has been given a free hen by her hotel for 10 people which is great so we have to include that but there will be about 25 girls so wer all splitting the cost so there will be a discount. the only thing is we have feck all choice of hotels. she either wants dublin or letterkenny. there is only a choice of one hotel in each county.

im hoping for dublin coz at least its abit familiar to me. its the royal marine hotel dun laoghaire spa dublin and when i looked at google maps (which is feck all help) it seems kinda far from the city centre so first question is:

1) can anyone suggest any good spots for hens ( clubs, lively spots)
2)does anyone know how far exactly this hotel is from city centre/clubs?
3)she really really wants a stripper and while i cringe at the thoughts of it i want to make her night as special as possible. is there ANY pubs or clubs that allow strippers?
3) she wants an austin powers theme night.... think 60s psychadelic yeah baby.....
4)we have to include food also
5)would love to have some unique ideas for her hen so any ideas would be very much appreciated

Not from Dublin so no help with most of your queries hun but how much is the free hen worth and what's included? Just that your very limited with it and with all the good deals out there at the moment you may be aswell off not to use the free hen and go alone with a package in a hotel/area you would actually like. Maybe the bride could negotiate something else for the wedding instead of the free hen?

Work out the prices and see how it goes, it may be cheaper to just scrap the discount and go somewhere else.. you could always just organise a mini bus to take you all from dun laoire-city and back... that couldnt be more than around €12 a head return...
Some places in Dublin city dont allow hens so check this out before you go.. temple bar is always good!! loads of pub and clubs there...

Hay DonnaMcd, the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire is about a 5 minute walk down to the DART station where you could get a dart train into Dublin City, it would take abt 20-30 mins, I think the darts run abt every 20mins in the evenings till about midnight but you can get the timetable online. To get back, Dublin Bus runs a Nitelink service on Friday & Sat nights every half hour till 4am. The 7N bus from D'Olier Street in Dublin city will bring you back to the Railway Station in Dun Laoghaire. Good luck !

Hey think i might be able to help Carrick-on-Shannon is a great spot for hen and stags it is well known for partying my sister works in a pub/niteclub there they have special hen packages they do great food and not sure about stripper so i will have to get back to u on tat they also have near by( when i say near by i mean right next door) apartments that they rent out to hens . Hope this helps the bar is called Murtaghs i no they do great packages give me a shout if u need my info !!!!

ok girls after all the stress iv been having bout dublin and the looong message i left iv went and completely changed my mind. now im looking at letterkenny. if any of you girls are from the area or have had a hen there id really appreciate any tips or advice. thanks 4 all your help girlies xxxxx

thanks kaf1807 but shes from roscommon so its a bit too local. thanks tho was at a hen there last year and it was an amazing night. thank god i only have to plan one or id go bananas xxxxxx
