i m just wondering how many people have people had at their hen or how many do you think you will have.

i m a bit nervous about this, whats a respectable number?
i m thinking of pulling the plug on mine if i dont get enough.

also what are your expectations of sisters and mothers of the groom coming to the hen?

Hey I had 19 at my hen. Some sisters of h2b came and his mam came too. I stressed for ages about the weekend before it and can honestly tell you it was stupid. Cos I had the best time ever never laughed and had so much fun in my life! Once you have the people that you really want there you will have a great time and don't worry about the ones that don't go!

I had 8 on my hen and it was the best wknd ever!! I was stressed out about how many I would have too since alot of hens I have been on are 20 odd. I only invited 16 and 8 came. However I didnt invites mams, cousins, sister in laws etc. Im sure if I did it would have bigger, but I just wanted friends. So I seriously wouldnt stress about it, your good friends will definitely come and its a weekend thats all about you, best ever

I'm having a two night hen, on the first night, my sister, sis in law, mother and four close friends are coming - we're going for a meal and a few quite drinks - MIL wont make weekend cause of health reasons.
Then all hell breaks loose on the second night, when up to up to 15 more arrive (sure there will be a few that can't make it for varying reasons) - watch out Kinsale
Really looking forward to it
Hopefully going to fit in a spa treatment on the Saturday morning - harbour cruise in the afternoon and bbq in a bar (don't know the name - sister is doing all the organising) that evening.
I'm not inviting any cousins - too many... they'll get an invite to the main event - the wedding

About 20 on mime no mothers just mainly friends and sisters I dont think it matters on numbers tho even with 6 you could have a ball! Sometimes in large groups people go off their seperate ways as its harder to keep people together

Hi Glitterbride, I don't think the numbers thing matter one bit. The best hen I was ever at was one with 6 people including the bride to be, I do not think I had ever laughed as much and because there were not loads of us there we did not all break up into groups and everyone had the same experience to laugh and giggle about after. I wouldn't cancel yours you might regret not letting your hair down before the big day..

did a two night hen with 12 the first night and 11 the second night. Had a blast. Don't know would I have like many more at it, as I felt it was the right size to not have people separting off into groups and getting a bit clique, as I had three distinct groups of friends at it meeting for the first time.

i got deposits off 12 girls wen i was bookin it and think thers a few more joinin us that are from where we are goin on the nite.i txt em all yest to let em no wen balance had to b paid n nly got 2replys! so il have to wait n c.i didnt ask aunties and the mams didnt wana go i nly asked 2 cousins that im close to and my sisters are too yung wudnt get in newhere unfortunatly.

I had 19 at mine, my mam and fmil, fsil and aunts were invited aswell as friends. I was soooo nervous, I mean the morning of I had h2b searching the house for motillium, my stomach was in bits, h2b was like are you so nervous about, but I was very bad, really nervous people wouldn't mix as I had a few different groups of friends etc, but I need not have worried, everyone got in the spirit of it, had a great night, mae me feel so special and to be honest I just let my hair down so much and had so much fun I don't think I'd have noticed if they were killing each other I think you'll regret it, it doesn't matter how many people are at it once the people that really matter to you are there then you will have a great night!!

I had 18. my 3 bridesmaids, myself, mother, aunts, gran and nan a couple of friends.

so far we hav bout 22 and counting. Jesus im brickin it. My mum my mil sil friends girls i work with aunts. Im only child so no sisters. I goin out with h2b 10 years so everybody nobodys each other well but still didnt think there would be that many,

I had 17 first night including mama,aunts friends with young kids who couldn't head away.The second night 8 of us headed off to Killarney by limo we had some laugh.I stressed a lot about numbers but those who did go made it a great wknd.The most important thing is to please yourself.My catch phrase was "It's all about ME"

Hey glitterbride,

I'm only having 7 at my hen, my three bridesmaids, my future sil and 2 other friends are heading to Liverpool for the weekend. It won't be your typical hen weekend but that's what I'm looking for, just a relaxing weekend with my girls! I did ask everyone (aunts on both sides and mothers) but none seemed interested in going away so I'm just having a night in Dublin closer to the wedding, probably a meal & a pub in town where I'll have to wear the customary tack so I'm keeping everyone happy!

Don't feel you have to cancel if you only get a few going for the weekend, use it to your advantage & have two hen nites

I think it's the same when you organise anything, there's always a percentage that can't make it. I think I invited 20+ and have 14 in total but only 8 confirmed for quad biking. At the end of the day, all my good friends will be there and that's really all that matters. I know we'll have a great time.

Getting really exciting now, only 10 more sleeps
