how much OK to pay for hen?

Postby ms-to-mrs » Wed Sep 14, 2011 2:19 pm

Hi Missies,

I was wondering how much do you think is an OK price for a hen night per person?
We'd only be going to Cork or Galway ( somewhere nice and handy) as I dont want to go abroad.

Is €125 too much? This would be for transport, b&b, dinner, cocktail class and entery into a club.

For me anyway (and I've been to a lot of hens) that's the norm. I've paid that and sometimes more for what you've listed. That's pretty good too considering it includes transport. Is this for your own hen?

Yeh that seems the norm.. dont worry about the amount but whats included... if €125 only included the bus and accomodation as a guest Id be pissed but ur getting a good bit for that.

Yep, it my hen night. One of my bridesmaids suggested this package but I wasn't sure if it is too expensive. Considering you can go to somewhere in England for near enough the same price.

I just hate putting pressure on people money wise. The hen would only be a month or so before the wedding.

But if you give people enough notice its fine... plus a night in england doesnt only cost that.. well it does on paper but theres always more taxis, airport transport etc... I do think its cheaper to stay at home myself, especially when food etc is included.

Wow thats great value, sure all everyone will have to pay for after that is their drinks. Just make sure your BM lets everyone know what is included for all that amount. i think your guests will be delighted. Where did you get this deal!

Is that for 1 night? I think that sounds good, it's hard to get cheaper, I'm shopping around at the moment for hens and although I got a great deal on one, the rest were very expensive!! We went to Cork for my hen, what hotel is that?

Hi Missies, Thanks for all your replys. I guess it is good for whats included. If you where to go out on a Sat night and go for dinner and a few drinks and a club you wouldn't be spending much less. My BM found this on henparty.ie . Its for Cork and I think the hotel is the Montenotte.

I think we'll go with this so, I doubt we'll find anything much cheaper.

ya that seems ok with everything included. Try to keep near the 100 euro mark and should suit everyone.

i think thats really good! have my hen next weekend and wanted to make it as affordable as possible. its coming in at 125euro aswell. that gets bus, hotel, corrib princess cruise, meal and coyotes. i felt kinda guilty asking people for that much but they were cool saying i got a good deal.
as long as everyone has a few weeks notice i think it works out ok.
