Hi Girls, As you know last weekend was my hen weekend and I had no idea what or where they had planned. I had said to my bridesmaids that this was one part of the wedding I wanted to enjoy without organising. So here is my Story:
Got collected by one of my bridesmaids at 2.00pm, was handed my first present and told to put it on. They had made a CD with all of my favourite songs on it for the drive down. I knew it was in Kildare but nothing else. We arrived at a Hotel and I nearly died they have booked us all into the Westgrove in Clane 4* hotel. Amazing, I could not take my jaw of the ground. The receptionist took our bags and was told to go into the bar where everybody was waiting for us... Really lovely surprise to see people that I thought could or would not come. We started drinking there and then..They then dressed me with a flashing crown and veil which was grand. After a few we had to go to the room to start getting ready. But everybody wanted to come as well. So I was wondering what had they planned. When we walked into the room there was a hall way with a table with loads of presents and cards and champagne and Pink Balloons. It was fabulous. Then we went into the bedroom to be told that there was more when I came out of the bedroom into the hall and into another room there was a kitchen sitting room and dining room. Could not believe how big it was. So everybody went to their room and we started on the Champagne, before we knew it we had drank two bottles of champagne and we hadn’t even had dinner. oooopppps a bit tipsy to say the least.

We had dinner in the bar which was grand, so we had more drinks and food. Then at 9.00 we were told to go to the room, we arrived to see that she had organised an Ann Summers Party well all I can say is the funniest thing I have ever done, the party tricks to the sounds we had to make... I was really drunk at this stage but didn’t even now. Everybody left about 5.00am and we went to bed.

To say I had a sore head the next day was an understatement.. They gave me Solphadine, Panadal, anything that could help. we went down for breakfast and took it easy. We then were told to be ready for 2.00pm. Everybody arrived at our room for 1.30 and was starting to drink again. OMG I felt terrible. Anyway they started dressing me up in a long skirt and top , I looked like a gypsy.. We then went to a room within the hotel to be told that we were Bollywood dancing, so fantastic, everybody got dressed up and we learnt a few dance moves, then we made a full video of the dance. They want it to be shown at the wedding...

After the laughter’s and fun we went to the bar for more drink, at 5.00 we went back to the room to start getting ready as we needed to be in the bar for 6.30 more alcohol and music. We met at the bar for a cocktail session and more people arrived to the party, we then went into the restaurant and had a full long table ready for us in the back of the restaurant. Now imagine the restaurant is decorated like a Manhatton Restaurant everything was exaggerated, it was brilliant with the lights and curtains. Then everytime we started a course ie: starter, mains etc I had to open a present, photo frame, Stew Dish in a pink heart shape as I do not do any cooking in my house and this was to help me start. Book about marriage. Then the Mr and Mrs quiz. Well laughter is not the word for it, but for 25 right out of 48. Not that bad I think. Anyway forgot to say that the table mats were photos of different themes ie: Engagement night, me with my dad as I am a big daddy’s girls, me with all of his family, me as a baby, really loved the effort she put in. But to top it of she had got an OK Magazine made with my photos and captions.. Never seen it before but will have it for keeps... Amazing

After dinner we were told that there was a bus outside waiting for us.
This bus took us to the Time Night club, now remember it was lashing raining and cold, and there wa a big massive q. We walked straight passed everybody into the nightclub and up to the VIP Area.. Brilliant there was danced the night away and the mini bus was waiting for us at the end of the night. Went back to the residence bar and sang a few songs , went to bed about 4.00 and to this day which is Tuesday I am still wrecked... But would not change a thing about the weekend

sounds brilliant!!! Fair play to them for organising such a great Hen!!! I have no idea what is happening with mine either but one thing is for sure I know I will have the sore head - I can just see my mother now watching every mouthful of alcohol I put into my mouth, total buzzkill!!!

fiona one thing is not to worry it all falls into place in the end. And I was owrried about my mother as well but she ended up having sip for sip with me in the end

ha ha, she won't be having sip for sip with me, she is a two glass of wine lady but she will just have to chill out and not go all narky!!!!

oh sounds brill hunny! mines next saturday i cannot wait! all i know is we are heading for Galway on the 2pm bus and booked in for an early dinner at 5pm thats all i know! my sister is being very secretive lol but im so excited!!!!

Well done your BM!! Sounds FABULOUS! I know Time nightclub a bit - good spot. Not been to the hotel in Clane though, but I'd heard great things. Your BM did a stunning job! So great that you had a brill hen.
