Wedding town and hen town - should they be different?

Postby AnCiotog » Fri Jan 27, 2012 11:31 am

I love Kenmare, and I'd fancy it for my hen night. Only problem is I've already booked the hotel venue for the wedding there too! Cape Clear is my second choice but I'd be nervous that some of my hens won't go there because of getting sick on the boat on the way over! Have any of the missies gone to the town their reception is in?

We're getting married in my home town, I'm going out with my friends there for mine, and h2b is thinking of going there or near there for his night out, didn't think it mattered at all if you went to the same place, but then I'm not overly fussed about having a hen night, I'm just going for dinner and a few drinks like a normal night.

I dont really think it would make a difference as the hen will be totally different to the wedding and you prob wont be in the same places. Dont know yet what will be in store for me on my hen (letting BM's have a free reign so i dread to think) but it wouldnt bother me if it was in the same town as the wedding so long as there were good bars etc to go to!

Yeah, I think i'm going to go with Kenmare then, I love the place and it's not far for people to travel to, there's nice food and bars and boat trips to see cute seals too!!!! I'm kinda thinking I'd like it a little bit Sex and the City, getting dressed up and doing the café things they used to do so much of. But my sis is the chief bm and I'll be letting it in her capable hands. Once there's no L plates or stuff like that i'm happy!
