Well I started in the gym today!! :bounce
she started me on cardio, just on bike and treadmill and stretches, only 5 mins on each to start. She doesnt want me to overdo it ith my back problem :nope
But I went for a 30min walk after it and felt great!!!!! :bounce
Going again in the morning, she only said I have to go twice a week for a while but must do 30 mins of physical activity a day!!!!!
h2b has his own "physical activity" in mind!!! :rofl :rofl :inbed :inbed

Your h2b and MrsEL's husband have the same idea!! :lol: Fair play on getting yourself to the gym and with a bad back and all. :cool Your trainer sounds smart, some of the trainers try to wreck you by exercising you in a way that's 'too much, too soon' and it can be so off-putting and de-motivating! :nobadtalk

They gave you good advice and well done on the cardio work today and the walk. :smokin That'll all pay off!! Keep up the good work! :highfive

you girls are putting me to shame!!!
I haven't gone near the gym yet!!
Was swimming yesterday and going to hoover later. Had to cancel a walk today but have full intentions of starting a few classes in the gym next week and having a swim tomorrow!

What are you talking about? Sure, swimming is great exercise!! Hoovering always makes me sweat so that is good exercise too. :D I'm getting ready to go on a run now with my friend from work. She's just gone to get changed. I'm dreading it though because it's sunny one minute and then lashing rain the next minute! Really, realy dreading it. Hoping she will cancel so I can get on my exercise bike instead!? I'm so bold!

Ok, I went on my 10k run. It started out cloudy, then I got lashed on, then it was sunny and I was nearly dry before I went home! Have to say I'm very glad I went, I'm feeling very good after it. We took it handy and it took us about an hour. I was waiting on her a bit also so I prob could have done it a bit faster but I haven't ran that much in ages so I'm very proud of myself. Also roped my friend into joining my gym so now I will actually have a proper 'gym buddy'!! Yay!! :bounce :bounce :bounce

Did 45 mins pilates and then an hours walk- fingers crossed I'm getting my motivation back!

That's great!! Well done...and you're only back from honeymoon. Fair play!! Start as you mean to go on because if you don't get back into it straight away and leave it for 2 months like I did then you pay the price: a bigger waistline, decreased fitness and thus really hard work-outs (that used to be a lot easier!).

I think you can safely say you have your motivation back, that is some good going woman!! :highfive:

Ok, went to the gym and did my workout today. My friend came with me to join but when they tried charging her €50 more than she thought she was gonna get charged, she decided to go and have a think about it. I missed my usual class because I was delayed so did the programme I was given (a month ago) for the first time. I had a 5 min warm-up on the rower, then 15 min speed training on the treadmill, then leg weights and core work and then 20 min hill run, slower pace. It was a good workout, was sweating buckets!

You're all doing great :)

I've been terrible lately cause the weather has been crap and i wasn't feeling great but after reading this yesterday morning i decided to walk instead of getting the dart and even got out a few stops earlier on bus and walked to work - it's only about twenty minutes but it's better than nothing :) And then if you add the little things like i work on the third floor so going up and down the stairs and even walking to the shop at lunch i guess it all adds up :)

Did about a 30 min jog today on the grass with my little 'running club' in the school. I went slow enough, it was a hot day and my calves were hurting a bit as I went around. Ran on grass too which is slways harder: better on your joints but harder to do. But came in and ate 4 Toffee Pops. Whoops! :oops:

Didn't make it to spin but went on threadmill instead- calf muscles are killing me! then went for a swim and did a short walk yesterday.
Pilates classes start on monday so giving that a go! Also hoovered .

My walk didn't happen this morning :( I was afraid i'd get blown away. But battling up the steps of the dart station this evening against the wind felt like i did a big workout :lol:
