Hi, not sure if you're ok to traval any distance or what part of cork your 1st choice church is, but i went to a friends wedding a few years ago in a church in passage east in waterford, Croke Church i think it was called, and it was in a lovely setting, kind of on a cliff top, overlooking the sea with trees etc all around it. It's quite small as well, as churches go, but i think there were about 120 -150 at that wedding and it was grand

We considered that church too in cork - it is the most beautiful church ever but for the same reasons as you we decided against it .... If you willing to travel let me know will pm you details ...

I've been to visit that church a few times- its stunning! Would you consider just asking immediate family and close friends to the ceremony so you could still have the church? Most people would understand 110%!

I looooooove that church so much! If we were getting married in Ireland it would have been my first choice by far so I would go with cutting the guestlist down for the church if you had your heart set on it. I dont know of one in that area thats similar, only one I can think of is up in Glendalough which is useless to you unfortunately.
