Affordable Honeymoon

Affordable Honeymoon

Postby Sugarcup » Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:31 am

Well as things stand it looks like the honeymoon is out the window. We just moved into our new house, and with that and the wedding and then everyday bills and childcare we are broke!!! Just wondering if anybody has found any cheap and cheerful deals or could recommend a good website. We are not looking for 2 weeks in mexico or anything just a few days somewhere sunny and in Europe. Anybody else having this problem ?

Have you tried ebookers.ie? I always find good deals on that website. Groupon has good deals too sometimes. I am going to Dominican Republic. Cost us 1450 euro each for 5 star all inclusive for one wk. we dont have a fortune to spend but I cut back on a few things for wedding and haven't gone on nights out much. Have a nine month old and new house and it's hard but wanted a relaxation honeymoon as I've had a tough year and wedding planning not easy in itself. I hope you find something amazing hun, I think all brides deserve a few days of pampering and enjoyment with their new husbands :)

I'm not sure if this is something for you but we used this website : http://www.wimdu.com/?wt_se=adwords.en- ... 4QodM1byWw
I have heard good things about the website and I think with common sense you can find something really nice. We booked an apartment right next to the Eifel tower in Paris for a week and for that and flights we paid 600 euro. Maybe have a look where aerlingus or ryanair fly to and have a look for a nice rented apartment? (Like I said, it's probably not for everyone but we only wanted to go somewhere in Europe and liked the idea of getting all the nice French food and cook our own dinners together.)

:happywave We're getting married in September and not going on honeymoon till next july. There was no way we'd have money to get married plus a honeymoon.Have you tried your local travel agent? Go in,have a chat and tell them what you're willing to spend.

Try steintravel.ie. We plan on going to Albufeira on HM and with them we can get 2 weeks for as little as €1500.

We went to Rome in March for €635 for the 2 of us!! Shop around and sometimes it pays to book things separately as you find better offers!! If you were willing to wait until September/ October you will get better deals too!
