my fiance proposed a few months ago with a beautiful vintage emerald engagement ring,(similar shape to kate middelton but alot smaller) it wasnt until we started looking at wedding rings that we realised it ws going to be very difficult to get one to go with the engagement ring, because of the shape we would have had to get one moulded with a big gap in,neither of us were mad about the looks of them, i came home one day and he'd found a supplier in america that makes the rings and ships them too, its fully certified and a fraction of the price, the reason for it is that the diamonds are man made, this makes them alot cheaper and more perfect, he picked me out a beautiful new engagement ring and matching wedding ring, its an amazing set and it comes with a full lifetime guarantee even the high street jewellers dont see a difference,and i have a cert that renders it officially flawless, everyone had commented on it, its a great idea i cant believe i didnt hear of it before, it was couriered to me this morning, i was tracking it all weekend on ups i was so excited, and they sent me fancy chocolates with the package too if anyone is interested mail me and i can sent u on the name of the website, i cant recommend it highly enough, to get what i got over here would normally cost about 8000, we paid 1100 usd, then there was a tax of 240 when it arrived in ireland

Congrats on the ring! I was going to get some made made diamonds for my engagement and wedding rings, but I ended up choosing a large sapphire as my engagement stone, as I am not a big lover of diamonds. The surrounding ones were so small it wasnt worth the effort of having them ordered and delivered here. I think it is a fabulous idea and more couples should really consider man made diamonds, as they are much cheaper and are of course guaranteed not to be blood diamonds which fund arms dealers in Africa. I did make sure that my diamonds were Canadian when I had my rings made, and they were not that expensive. The cost in my rings were really more in the metal itself as I liked quite heavy bands, but I think people should save money where they can and get a fabulous diamond at the same time!
