Has anyone been to Oxfam Bridal on Georges street? Ive booked an appointment but have only seen bad reviews online. Im a bit nervous now, i dont want to waste my time going but Im on a tight budget so was hoping to get my dress there.

I have been in here. it was ok, not great. i actually was in barnardoes in dun laoighre with a friend who is getting married too. i would definetly recommend this shop. my friend got a brand new dress bever worn.. Its a fab shop

Hi, I have an appt for Oxfam as well - I haven't been yet so let us know how you get on.
I went to the Bridal shop in Barnadoes and at first I wasnt sure if I was in the right place but the bridal shop is above the street level one. An amazing room of dresses. Only thing is that I am a curvy girl and take a generous 14 or small 16 but they had very little in this size in styles i like. A great shop though none the less, I'd definitely recommend it. The prices are fantastic. There is lots for under euro500 & the dresses are in 'like new' condition.

if all doesnt go well jus keep an eye out for closing down sales and off the rail sales u can get some great bargins,i got my dress in a closing down sale for 200

just to let you knwo there is an auction in toughers business park in Newbridgte next week and they have wedding dresses from shops that have closed down. the dress were all size 6's and 8's on the list

I was in Oxfam bridal lately and was not impressed. A lot of the dresses had stains and imperfections and didn't seem to be dry cleaned. Yes, you could get a bargain but you may have to spend a lot on clearning, alterations, general fixing up etc. Heard v good things though about the Barnardos shop so I wouldn't rule out checking in a charity shop again.

barnardoes in dun laoighre def worth a visit. The girls there are great and if ya ask them to ring ya when some dresses of your size come in they will do so. They had all you would need on ur big day (shoes veils etc.. ) when I was there for a visit. Oh also if ur in Dun Laoighre you might as well stroll down to Bloomfields Shopping Centre there is a girl there selling wedding dresses (new, worn once and secondhand) she has a lovely collection. She also sells out fits for special occasions. You will see her shop when u walk in the main door of Bloomfiels SH (its right infront of St. Michaels Hospital.
