Wooohoo

We are looking at 28th March 2011, has anyone attended a wedding in Woodlands hotel Waterford.
Love the place just looking to see if they are all they seem, they tick our boxes but I'm wondering if they are 100% what they say

Thanks All
MsBBE

Hi MsBBE my wedding is in cork (the oriel house), but i am familiar with the woodlands from living in waterford a few years ago. i think the woodlands is beautiful and prefer that its not in the city.

no nothing yet really, I just got off the phone with the local registrar there (going for a civil wedding over a church wedding) she is amazing so nice, she is letting me know what I need to do and trying to make it as easy as she can (rather than making a few trips Dublin to Waterford) she is gonna email me what we will need to do.

She made my day, I've been stressing (nearly forgot to breathe:P)

I haven't looked into anything.

Im not like friends of mine who know EVERYTHING they want, we got engaged in october and I hadnt thought of weddings till then. Im completely clueless :P :furious
I guess after 6 years we should take a look at the wedding :P

Going to go to Blarney Castle for photos. Our photographer showed us other weddings he did where they went there and the photos are fab. Love the Oriel house - the bridal suite is amazing and the food is absolutley fab.
What church are you going from - they may be somewhere nice around there for photos also?

Hi Diamond I'm getting married in the Oriel too :happywave

You are right the staff there are really nice and the function rooms are lovely. Just wondering which room are you going with - the upstairs one or the downstairs one.

Regarding location for photographs, the regional park in Ballincollig has some nice areas for photographs if you don't want to go too far from the hotel. That is one of the potential places we are thinking of for photos at the moment :)

hi i am going for the room downstairs, i was there last sunday and the room set up was fab, my only complaint was that the summer punch tasted just like orange juice!!! we have also decided on the hotels wine instead of doing corkage.
