advice on favours

Hi Missies .
We are having these as our favours for the ladies just wanted some opinions on colour as they are available in a few I was all set to go ahead with the fuschia when htb said it might be nice to get some of each colour think the others are black , grey green maybe?? anyway he was saying ppl will prob end up swapping if they didn't like etc as not everyone would go for the pink ?? any thoughts??
We are also making a charity donation which will be printed on the menus but when i saw these charity bracelets from links I thought they went well with the donation idea and are so cute :justarried2

Hi cc2011, I have to say the greenie, tourguoise colour is fab, then again, I am not a girlie girl, and dont think I have ever owned a pink anything in my life  I have to say I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price of them though!! Two of them would be our budget for favours lol. One thing I always think about favours is, that a lot of the time, they can be left behind, especially if there is a lot of alcohol consumed :knockback and it's a token gesture for people that come to your wedding, but hey it's your wedding & each to their own. Nice link to charity though and thats what we are doing, is donating to charity for ours. :)

Hi cc

I like the green/turquoise ones as well, could maybe get an even number of each colour and say have every second or third seat the same colour or something? Then if people did want to swap them around on the tables they could? That's nice too that they're for charity, we're not having favours as such, but are donating to charity like yourselves, it's nice to give back a bit of the money to a good cause!

Do you know how much of the €75 goes towards the charity. If it was me spending that much money on charity favours I'd hope that alot of it goes towards charity. The charity favour thing is a lovely idea but I wonder what the male guests would do with it. If you're going to get a bracelet for each guest it would be a shame for them to be left lying around if people didn't realise what their value was. (not that people need to know how much they cost but you know what I mean) If the majority of the amount isn't going to charity I would suggest donating the equivalent (if you have it) to charity and then getting some other kind of small favour that everyone might take home.

You will see in my original post I said these favours are for the ladies ... and you will also see that we are making a large charitble donation . Our male guests will be getting a different favour to take home.
Thanks for the advice on the colours girls and to the poster wanting to come to the wedding I don't think we could fit anymore we are having it at home and already have 300!!!

If you are having 300 people, and the bracelet favours are for just the ladies, say 150 people, are you really spending over £11000 on favours for just them? That doesn't include the men's favours or the charitable donation. That sounds quite substantial to me. But I would make sure people take them home. If they don't, each on is just £75 just lying around on the table.

are u for real or just a dreamer 11000e for favours for 150 guests that is more than the budget for my wedding plus then u have to get men favours and a charitable donation aswell why not just donate to a local charity instead of doing any favours at all i am sure many people could benefit from that money rather than leaving it on a table

Apologies I must have read it too quickly or got side tracked by the €75 each favours. Glad it's for charity and that a substantial amount of it is going to charity. If it was me though I'd probably cut out the favours altogether and donate the 11,000e to charity and have it on people's place cards that you have made a donation to a certain charity in their name (they don't need to know the amount). By the sounds of it and other posts you've made your wedding is going to be something big so I don't think your guests are going to be disappointed if they don't have a favour. But I suppose if you love the bracelets and think the girls will like it well then it's your wedding so go for it.
