Hi ladies,

like everyone I'm sure, we are trying to keep within our budget by cutting costs where we can!

We will have to travel about 30 minutes from the church to the venue-does anyone have any ideas of alternaitve ideas to the traditional limos/vintage cars?

We don't know anyone with a "fancy" car as such that we could borrow though!

We're using my h2b's own vintage car, an A Team van that another friend has, a 70's Camaro, a 70's Alfa Romeo and my h2b's Dad's black Mondeo which will be 2 years old by the time of the wedding, that's going to be used for me to go to the church etc because it's the only one with 3 actual seats!

I heard of a great idea last year on this forum. One bride rang a local taxi firm & booked a fancy car & requested that they take down the Taxi sign. It was just a regular taxi ride cost, & booked the same for after the service. They turned up in a lovely shiny Merc if I remember right.
I thought this was a brill idea !
You could do the same and request an executive car so that the driver would be guaranted to wear a suit if you wish, we use exectuive car taxi companies to transport executives to/from Dublin airport at the office and they are very professional. They usually have luxury cars like top pf the range Mercs & Audis. They do cost almost double a regular taxi ride though!
