The only thing I would say to anyone having babies at their ceremony - my friend got married about 3 years ago and her brother and his wife had their 4 week old at the wedding. My friend had no bother with this at all but during the ceremony the baby started to cry and wouldn't stop and neither parent would bring the baby outside!! When my friend got her video off her videographer you can't hear them saying their vows to each other cause of the cries of the baby. Just such an important part of her video and it was 100% ruined cause you literally can't hear a thing. Just food for thought cause she wished afterwards that she had told her brother before the ceremony that if the little guy started crying could they bring him outside just to quiten him down.

oh wow id be fuming!! bit unthoughtful of her brother!!

if i could have a no kids wedding i would! i hate the idea of kids running around or messing when we're trying to have our first dance!

im going to convince Mr Reid that we only having close family kids for the dinner n after that they have to go we have our own little girl who will be baby sat from after meal onwards!

Well my FSIL text me back shortly after, completly normally and made me think I was worrying over nothing! They are being completly normal with us but I just know that they are a bit put out but are hopefully going to be ok about it. When I mentioned it to them, my FSIL said she felt bad for just assuming the baby could come. I have no problem with kids going to the wedding- the youngest there will be 6, I think they add to it! Just not babies! I know that if I had a baby myself there is no way I would bring it to a wedding 'cos I just wouldn't enjoy it! I think we should be ok. The plan is that she comes to the mass and then goes home with her granny after. We'll make a big fuss of her in the pics and please god everything will be ok! I hate feeling a bit of tension between people, I think it's from being Irish cos we're always afraid to say what we think in case we offend anyone!
