bridesmaid dress dilemma

Postby mrskehoe2be » Sun Jan 15, 2012 9:13 pm

Girls have serious problem....

My sister is chief bridesmaid she went to australia the same week we got engaged. Now as you an see we have little under 3 weeks till the wedding and my sister flew in from Oz this morning came home and tried on her bridemaid dress and its TOO SMALL. Like there is no way she will fit into it before the wedding. What am i going to do? Meant to have dress fitting tomorrow for her and other bridesmaid who i know the dress fits thinking i would just have the length taken up or something... Panicing now...

don't panic, maybe a combination of spanx and them letting out the dress will work? The girls will know what to do! Hope it goes ok! x

Oh Lord but don't worry these things are not the end of the world see how tomorrow goes then if they can't let it out or do something sit down and calmly talk about whats best to do. dont panic otherwise ul stress urself out and that wont help things. most seamstesses are amazing they cud add a bit in, all will be fine xxx

I agree, try not to worry, this happened with my friends wedding, her sisters dress was too small, but the girl doing the alterations was able to put a panel in and it was fine, only took a few hours to do. So it'll most likely be fixable!

I would not worry, my bridesmaids dress is too small for one of my bridesmaids and she is panicing more than me. trying to do everything to loose the weight. I mean if it is a case we will try to add another bit of material to the side. Put it this way it will all work out in the end.

O god just try to relax and stay calm wait and see what the dress maker says and take it from there. They will have had these issues before and will know how to deal with them.
