Hi ladies,

Just wondering if any of ye have bought bridesmaid dresses online and if so were ye happy with them? I've been looking in some shops and they are very expensive.

Hi mrs2be2013! I bought my BM dresses from dhgate.com - i was sooo nervous bout it but the savings made up my mind!! I bought copies of Dessy dresses that were €280 each in the shops and I got the three dresses incl P&P for €178! Dresses came within three weeks and were perfect, quality was fantastic (which is one of the things i was worried about!) and sizes were spot on! So i would def recommend buying ur dresses online. A lot of missies on here recommend lightinthebox.com too so thats another site yiou could look at it!

hi i got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses online cos they were cheaper. i got 2 dessy 2732 in african violet from an american website (weddingshoppeinc.com). they arrived 2mths after ordering everything was perfect and their not copies there from the authorised manufacturer! id definately reccommend buying online its so much cheaper. i got my bms to try on the dress in a bridal shop and got their measurements and then ordered. the bridal shop was charging 235euro for 1 dress but i got 2 for 230euro online. i was a very nervous at doing it first cos u never know if anything went wrong what would you do then. i was looking for ages getting reviews,feedback any info at all. i wanted to order off an english site thought that might be better than an american one but my dress was new and only could get it online. a lot of people reccommend rk.bridal and dresselicious too!! sorry for the long post hope u get sorted x

I love the great saving from buying online but i Just a couple of questions about ordering on line?

1) Did you get charged customs?

2) Was the colour of the dress what you were expecting

I didnt get charged customs on my dresses but they were marked as gifts on the package so that may have been why and as for the colour - it was just slightly brighter/vivid than what was shown on the website but thats due to the the representation of colour on a computer screen as opposed to looking at an actual colour swatch, so I was happy out with them!

hey 16march13, as regards to the colour we went to try on bm dresses in bridal shop and the woman showed me the colour i wanted and when it arrived it was exactly the same. i got stung for customs although a lot girls get away with it mine was 180euro for my wedding gown and 2 bm dresses (box weighed 14lbs) you might be lucky and get away with it but still at the end of the day i still saved by going online!

I'm hoping to get mine online as well, but I'm wondering if you want the straps and belt a different colour do they allow that? I'm having 3 bms so I'd be hoping to get them as cheaply as I can!

i went with weddingshoppeinc.com their american.had no trouble at all.also a lot of brides recommend rk.bridal,house of brides,dresselicious.good luck!!
