Cannot get in contact with the Civil Registration Office

Cannot get in contact with the Civil Registration Office

Hi All

I hope someone can help me.

Both myself and H2B have been trying to ring the Civil Registration Office in Dublin without success.

We are phoning the number on the website which is the same number I know others have used. The line goes to connect you to the operator but then keeps looping that the operator is busy and eventually hangs up on us after about 20 mins.

Has anyone had similar problems or found a magic way to get in touch to make our appointment with them?

All help is greatly appreciated!

i got through to them earlier on this afternoon i was on hold for bout 10 mins listening to that awful music. id try ring them first thing in the morning and hope u dont get the same idiot i got. ill have to ring them again cause he hadnt a clue what i was looking for.

Maybe try a different county - if you are getting married in a church you can register with any county so long as its ajoining the county you are getting married in - so you could go to wicklow kildare or meath etc.

Took me ages to get through to them aswell. I found Wednesday morning to be the best time to contact them! I set a reiminder and rang them just after 10, got through left my name & number and then they called me back and set up the appointment

Thanks all.
We're getting married in limerick but live in Dublin.
I got through to the limerick office straight away!
We want to meet the Dublin office so that we don't have to take a full day off work.

I'll be setting my reminder for 10am Wednesday morning too

even tho i assumed i got the idiot yesterday they rang me back this morning and i have everything sorted they are sending out all my info. im the opposite to anmri2 in that we live in laois and are getting married in wicklow but had to go thro the dublin office.
