Anyone heard anything else about these new changes to the mass wording coming down the line?? I know I won't even be looking at doing mass booklets until December but just wondering what the story is

I was looking on gettingmarried.ie today ( found it on an old post here) and they say that if you are getting married before Sept this year then the old wording is fine, but if you are getting married after september there is some new wording:

Yeah supposed to be happening in September but starting off slowly in a few congregations and then branching out I suppose. CHANGES TO the text of the Catholic missal will be introduced at Masses in some dioceses throughout Ireland from September 11th. From November 27th, the first Sunday of advent, the new edition of the missal will be used in its entirety for prayers at Masses throughout Ireland and in all English-speaking countries. Changes are small but apparently mass will sound different e.g. the response to “the Lord be with you” is usually “and also with you” and now it will be “and with your spirit”. A leaflet introducing the new missal will be available in all parishes in a few weeks so get yourself to mass Alot of priests aren't happy with the changes and I can imagine the auld ones that have been going to mass for the last fifty years will find it hard to adjust but there you have it, just another way to irriate us. I wouldn't mind but I had my mass booklet prepared. Back to the drawing board!
